Debt and Revenue Management is responsible for the issuance, management, and reporting of debt for the university and its related entities.

 

Meet Mr. Pittman

John C. Pittman, Associate Vice President for Debt and Revenue Management

Mr. Pittman has worked in the financial management in education over 20 years.  John began his career at UCF by developing and managing the financial budgets for the auxiliary operations of the Business Services department.  In addition to Business Services, he oversees the CFE Arena and Knights Plaza operations, as well as Parking and Transportation Services. He also manages approximately $500 million in outstanding debt for the university and some of its related entities, Pittman is responsible for overseeing in excess of $80 million in various budgets for the UCF Administration and Finance division. Pittman has a BS degree in Business Management from the University of Florida, and concurrently attained his CPA certification and Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Central Florida.

Pittman is also responsible for the fiscal functions, including the monitoring of debt covenants and financial reporting of three Direct Support Organizations of UCF.  The UCF Convocation Corporation involves the CFE Arena project that includes a 10,000 seat arena and Venue, four tower resident halls and parking garages that house approximately 2,000 students, and 80,000 square feet of retail operations. The UCF Stadium Corporation oversees the 45,000-seat Spectrum Stadium expandable to 65,000 seats, as well as the more recent Wayne Dench Center for Student Athlete Leadership and the stadium’s Carl Black & Gold Cabana.  The UCF Finance Corporation finances both the Burnett Bio-Medical Research Facility and the Learning Resources Center projects. Additional facility projects include the Pegasus Hotel and Conference center.

Pittman volunteers on several committees, all of which play an essential part of consulting, mentoring, and supporting students in various capacities throughout their college experience:
